- At least 8 people are already chosen as starring actors. The cast starts growing.
- David Semel is chosen to be the Director of the pilot.

- Jeph Loeb, Skip Beaudine and Lori Motyer joins the crew.
- The cast also grows.
- The production of the show is decided to be realised by NBC Universal Media Studios in association with Tailwind Productions, a film production company founded by Tim Kring.
April 2006
- The cast and the crew grows exponentially.
- The shootings of the pilot are started.
- NBC signs contracts with Aspen Comics and Comicraft for the graphic novels.

- The preparation of the GNs are also started.

- The shooted pilot (72 minutes) is shortened to give the new pilot called In His Own Image (60 minutes).
- The first preview videos are released. (Nbc.com)
- A promotional flash animation: Claire & the Cat, appears at Tim Sale's website. It is a preview of what Heroes will look like. The animation is composed of 15 drawings by Tim Sale. The animation shows us a young Claire, a cat, a truck driver then Hiro and mentions a Mr. Isaac.
- The crew and the cast continue to grow.
- From two of the 2 crew members; Jesse Alexander and Greg Beeman, comes to new official websites:
- Later In His Own Image (60 minutes) is again shortened to give the real pilot called Genesis (51 minutes).
July 2006
- The official/unofficial fan site opens: (6) 9thWonders.com with the collaboration of invision, Craig Byrne and JG Roshell.
- The first official page of an in-universe character, (7) Claire Bennet's MySpace page opens.
- The second official page of an in-universe character, (8) Zach's MySpace page opens.
- San Diego Comic-Con gathers. Jeph Loeb makes the opening and over 2000 people attends. Jeph Loeb, Tim Kring and Tim Sale from the crew and everyone except Greg Grunberg and Hayden Panettiere from the cast attend the convention. The original 72 minutes, unaired pilot is shown. (July 22)
Aug.-Sept. 2006
- The crew continues growing.
- Claire & the Cat is no longer found at Tim Sale's website. It is posted for a while at NBC.com however it is removed after a while.
- Greg Beeman, writes his first post.
- Peter Steigerwald opens his (9) MySpace account, which will later give us information.
September 25, The pilot of the show Heroes; Genesis airs for the first time from the channel NBC.
