In chapter 5 of Slow Burn, Chris tells Amanda of the time that he first manifested his fire breathing ability. He recalls that he had had a successful date with his girlfriend, but when kissing her, accidentally breathed fire and set her hair ablaze. Needless to say, there was no second date.
