Josh Davis is a juggler at the Sullivan Bros. Carnival. He is an evolved human with the ability to change his appearance. He works with his brother Evan.

Slow Burn

In chapter 3 of Slow Burn, Chris Bowman sees Josh and Evan practicing their routine as he goes to find Bo LoFontaine.

In chapter 6 of Slow Burn, The Watcher assigns Chris Bowman to watch Josh and his brother Evan and find out what their secrets are. As they get off their shift, they head into the parking lot, and Josh changes back into his normal self, remarking it is good to be back in his own body. Chris approaches the two and asks if he can come with them, and they say yes. They steal a car, and Josh reveals to Chris that they are not really twins, but it is useful to pass themselves off as such. Before they head into a local bar, Josh shifts into a blond, muscular body. While Evan heads out back, Josh and Chris meet up with Draph, and attempt to pick up girls. While playing pool with one, her boyfriend becomes angry and attacks him. Evan returns, and breaks a pool stick over the guys back, but he hardly notices. Draph stops him from punching Josh, and holds off the guy and his friends as the two brothers and Chris leave the bar.

Back at the carnival, Chris reports to the Watcher that Josh left to pick up chicks.

In chapter 8 of Slow Burn, The Watcher watches Josh and his brother throw a ball back and forth.

In chapter 9 of Slow Burn, Chris asks Evan how he and Josh are doing. Evan replies that both are good. Evan also mentions a time where "The Watcher" approached both Evan and Josh in a field.

In chapter 10 of Slow Burn, Josh shape shifts into Chris Bowman, in order to lure The Watcher into a trap. He meets him behind Samuel’s trailer, and reveals himself to be Josh, as Chris, Gail, Bo, and Aviv surround The Watcher. Bo wraps The Watcher in metal as he tries to flee. However, The Watcher retaliates by blinding all of them, but realizes he cannot break free of the metal, and restores their vision. They take him inside Samuel’s trailer, where Lydia reveals his name to be Henry.

The Puppet Master

In chapter 3 of The Puppet Master, Eric Doyle is on a tour of the carnival and he sees Josh and Evan happily juggling together.

Purpose

In chapter 2 of Purpose, Josh charges at Samuel and John Mulligan, warning Samuel to look out. He tackles John, but time rewinds and Josh instead tackles thin air. Unaware of what has happened, he faces John and informs Samuel that John is the agent who came after him and Evan. John refuses to fight Josh, who constantly lashes at him. Evan manages to calm his brother down long enough for John to leave.

Evolved Human Abilities

Josh has the ability to shape-shift into other people. He uses this ability to pass himself off as his brother's twin, and to sneak out of the carnival.
