Retrofit Films

Retrofit Films (tagline "a digital studio") is the production company that produced the Heroes webseries, Going Postal, The Recruit, Nowhere Man, and Slow Burn. Retrofit also produces the weekly video commentaries found on NBC.com.

With the restart of Heroes Reborn Retrofit produced the new webisode series Dark Matters, available on the Heroes Reborn app. Retrofit also created the four viral videos found on the HeroTruther YouTube channel.

About

In 2004, Chris Hanada and Tanner Kling created Retrofit Films with the idea of pushing the boundaries of web-based filmmaking in digital and other media. In addition to the Heroes webisodes, Retrofit Films has produced mobisode content for My Own Worst Enemy and Gossip Girl, and webisodes and DVD content for Smallville (the animated Kara & The Chronicles of Krypton) and Vampire Diaries (A Darker Truth). Retrofit also produced the gamisode The Rook for Adidas.

Around the time that Dark Matters was produced, Retrofit began publishing books, beginning with Stephen Case's novel First Fleet and Claire Willett's novel The Rewind Files.
